01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

At TERUSAN, one diner’s account of having premium beef tongue sliced to their preferred thickness stands out. The menu also offers tongue with salt and spring onion, as well as tongue trimmings, giving you a choice of cuts and seasonings. A diner described the assorted namul they ordered alongside it as having a gentle flavour; the platter comes with 6 varieties. Skirt steak is another recommended choice, and another diner says they often order it with salted premium tongue. You could start with tongue and add a cut of lean beef to suit your taste.

There are Korean dishes to enjoy between servings of grilled meat, too. Diners mention steamed pork, a chive and squid pancake, and a braised beef tendon dish; the menu includes steamed pork, pancakes and spicy beef tendon stir-fry. TERUSAN’s signature dishes are grilled shabu-shabu and grilled sukiyaki. Pot-marinated short ribs and carefully selected thick-cut skirt steak, available in limited quantities, round out the choices, offering plenty to cook at the table, from the signature thin slices to thicker cuts.

Morioka cold noodles make a good finish. One diner recalls the thick noodles as unusual compared with those they had tried elsewhere. A half-size serving is available, making it an option after sampling several meats and side dishes. The modern, pale-wood interior has counter seating and sunken kotatsu-style tables, including space for groups. High chairs and a children’s menu are also listed, making TERUSAN an option for families looking to share yakiniku and Korean dishes.
